A Surprise Proposal at Ireland Park | Toronto Proposal Photographer

She thought it was a relaxed evening stroll along the water before a nice dinner out. He had been planning this for weeks.

Ireland Park was the spot. It has open water, soft golden light, a steady breeze off the lake, and a nice ledge that makes a perfect place to drop to one knee. I kept my distance and let it unfold.

A proposal only happens once, and that's what makes these frames special: the hands up to her face, the laughing and crying at the same time, and the look of someone who can't quite believe it's real.

Once the excitement settled, we moved through the waterfront for portraits against slate and concrete, with nothing forced and plenty of laughing. As the sky deepened into blue hour, I brought out a little flash and some lens play for a set of dreamy, backlit frames that can only happen at the end of the day.

Planning a proposal in Toronto, or just said yes and need an engagement session? I'd love to connect and hear your story.

If you're planning a wedding in Niagara, Toronto, or anywhere across Southern Ontario and you want photography that captures your day as it naturally unfolds, I'd love to connect and hear your story.
