Frequently Asked Questions

  • In a word? Documentary.

Your wedding day isn’t a photoshoot — it’s a once-in-a-lifetime celebration with your favourite people. I won’t direct your day or pull you away for endless portraits. Instead, I’ll blend into the background and quietly capture the real stuff: the laughs, the hugs, the ugly cries, the party.

We’ll get beautiful, artistic portraits during your engagement session (and a few quick ones on the day-of if you'd like) — but my goal is for you to actually live your wedding day, not spend it with your photographer.

This way, you get a collection of honest, emotional images that you’ll want to share — now and for decades to come.

  • I’m new to photographing weddings — but not new to photography.

I’ve been a full-time professional photographer for several years, specializing in documentary-style family and portrait work. That means I know how to anticipate emotion, work with natural light, and stay calm under pressure (a wedding-day essential).

While I don’t have decades of wedding experience, I bring a fresh perspective, creative intention, and genuine care to every couple I work with. I’m currently booking a limited number of weddings to give each one my full attention — and to be honest, now’s a great time to book (before I get too booked up 😉).

  • Not at all. Most people are! I’ll give just enough direction to help you relax — no awkward posing or cheesy prompts. Just be yourselves, and I’ll take care of the rest.

  • Whatever makes you feel like you. I’ll send over a wardrobe guide to help — but there’s no pressure. Pops of colour and layered textures always look great.

  • Wherever feels right. That could be your neighbourhood, your home, a favourite café or trail — or anywhere else that feels like part of your story.
